A Light Classical Christmas & Angels, Guitars & Joy ”Christmas music always on classical guitar brings a warmness and peace to my heart. In general, Christmas songs have holiday themes directly taken from Christmas or have themes
addressing the holiday and the winter season. Currently my recorded works of classical guitar focus on the group of Christmas music known as Christmas Carols.They are traditional and mostly religious in context and the choice songs reflects my memories of my youth in a small town in northern Minnesota.

These two recordings have different flavors. A Light Classical Christmas uses only the nylon string classical guitar with string trio accompaniment and has a ‘chamber music’ feel to it. Angels, Guitars & Joy uses multiple guitars including the classical guitar, steel string acoustic guitar, 12 string guitar, and even an electric guitar performing with an ‘e-bow’. An ‘e-bow’ is an electronic bow that causes the strings on an electric guitar to vibrate continuosly. A very unique sound. The flavor of Angels, Guitars & Joy is much more acoustic new age but still has a significant component of classical and classical guitar as well.” - Darren Curtis Skanson
